Probably not. They're completely different animals. I loved both for what it's worth. I also know a few people who were blown away by Primer but left cold by Upstream Color.

You should definitely at least watch it.

I see some of you lauding Delpy's performance in Before Midnight as one of the year's best. I actually thought Hawke upstaged her in that one. Delpy was consistently good throughout the trilogy, but Hawke's progression as an actor from Sunrise to Midnight was delightful.

I agree, Hawke was my favorite part of that one, this time around.

Nebraska will be hard to top for me as far as last year is concerned. I'll admit to being a huge Alexander Payne fan beforehand though.

No love for Arnold's "you punch like a vegetarian" line from Escape Plan either. Harumph.

Also, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Frozen. Working through a few dozens screenings over the winter holidays with messy-ass children & demanding soccer moms has informed that view a bit. Holy hell, the songs aren't that great either. I really miss cel-shaded Disney animation. Their new CG movies all have the same look and feel to me, almost indistinguishable from their Pixar "brand." Tangled is a hell of a lot more entertaining than Frozen, and visually memorable too.
