Vanessa is such a useless character.

She's better off dead.

No discussion about the funeral?

Chuck and Blair, Blair and Chuck?

LB and S’s parents – there is another…?

I like the inclusion of Signs by Bloc Party, my favourite song off their new album currently

Chuck and Blair are awesome.

Lily's secret has to be she had Rufus' kid and gave it away. No way an abortion would be that scandalous in society circles, nor would it prompt to ask "was it a boy or a girl." Plus, it looked like it could have been a birth certificate that Chuckles burned.

I found Bart's death to be so anticlimactic. I was hoping for some big drama-filled death, but all we get is him kicking the bucket off-screen.

The episode this week was fantastic. Chuck and Blair are truly the best characters on this show.

I agree, cori. No way would an abortion be that scandalous, and needing to be kept such a huge secret.

so this missing red-headed step child... Is it a current cast member or someone new they're going to throw at us in Season 3? Hopefully a love interest for either Dan or Serena just to completely scar them for life

I know! I wonder if they're setting it up to be a big fake death, like it was all a scheme to ... to .... well, whatever kind of scheme that filthy rich bastards come up with.

Just caught this week's episode. I loved it. Elfa, I also really liked the use of the Bloc Party songs. 'Signs' was used perfectly and they also played 'Biko' earlier in the episode when Chuck was goin' ape-shit on Dan at the funeral. Two of my favorite songs off the album. I'm pretty sure there was a song by The National in there, too. Good stuff.

The best moment was Chuck and Blair's big embrace near the end of the episode! That was sweet. And how beautiful did Blair look in that silvery dress at her mom's wedding? She is the cutest girl in the world, I don't care what anyone says.

I have no clue. I generally don't like to be spoiled, so I didn't read beyond "Bart dies."

I thought of that as well. Could definitely add some drama, were he to pop up somewhere down the line.

Also, I totally loved Dorota during the wedding scenes. She looked SO cute, and was so happy for Eleanor. Very adorable.

My wife has become an obsessed Gossip Girl fan, she sent me some amusing comments off a blog which rates episodes by giving plus or minus points, these are for the last episode:
Quote:
* -5 for Aaron's buttoned up shirt, pube face and bad combover. Why must they insist he look like he's about to rob an LA taco truck.

*Um, -3 for Serena's breakfast dress. We literally gasped when watching this episode. You don't let your cancerous grandmother see your cooter in a negligée.

*+2 for the non-appearance of two main characters of the show at Bart's funeral... namely Serena's boobs.

*also, did it not bother anyone else that dan said "APE- RICOT" twice in reference to the muffin?

*The bottle of liquor that Chuck stole from the bar was Starr African rum which in no way would Chuck Bass ever drink. However my friends and I agree that the writers chose the bottle because it matched his outfit

*Aaron says to Serena, "I think I may be falling in love with you" when she is having doubts about her relationship with him. Of course he would think that attacking her with this info when she is at her most vulnerable would comfort her instead of annoy her. He is that big of a DOUCHE-NOZZLE. +3 for pure, pathetic, despicable realness. Add another 3 because I swear I saw Serena inch away from him after he said it.

*+1 for Chuck's vampire look. He should be written into the New Moon movie. Then he and Robert Pattinson could talk in their British accents and dual. I was totally waiting for him to grab Blair and run up a tree...

*-5 for Aaron looking like an Amish Pedophile at the wedding ceremony with the white button down (buttoned all the way up), creppy cream v-neck, jacket and sparse facial hair. I didn't know if he was going to churn butter or watch kiddie porn.

*+5 for Serena still looking like an upscale call girl even at a funeral.

*+3 for Cyrus never actually interacting or having an on screen conversation with Aaron. Even his dad thinks he's a douche.

*GG, stop hitting us over the head with the Lincoln Hawk song. WE GET IT. THE SONG IS ABOUT LILY. "Every time you walk away or run away you take a piece OF MY UNBORN FETUS" etc etc.

*Now we know why Serena’s is such a ho. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. +5.

*EEWW, of course Rufus would pack his guitar for their weekend getaway. +5. An additional +5 for the fact that now we won’t have to watch scenes of him serenading Lily.

*Why does Serena think she has any say in who to invite to Bart’s funeral? Son trumps stepdaughter all day, everyday. DUH. But +5 because her judgment is clearly compromised—as evidenced by the fact that she is going somewhere hot and tropical with Fievel…and is going to let him stick his American Tail in her. Eewww, Serena, that means you have to see him shirtless. EPIC FAIL.

*+4 for Jenny making clothing instead of being home-schooled. It's easier and more convenient for everyone - people can demand clothes quickly, Little J gets to hone her craft, and Rufus doesn't have to spend his time re-learning the 10th grade so he can teach it to her.

*Did no one else notice the Chernobyl-grade doucheknuckleness of Dan when he went to check up on Serena and she was like, "I'm worried about my mom and Chuck, etc." and he chuckled condescendingly and was like, "That's nice, I'm worried about YOU." ?
