Because people were very impressed by it??

Big thumbs up for: U2, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, The Hurt Locker, Carey Mulligan, Michael Stuhlbarg, Stanley Tucci, Clint Eastwood, Coraline, Up and the Fantastic Mr. Fox, and District 9's screenplay.

Nothing bold though, Viggo Mortensen left out in the cold, IB over An Education, Sandra Bullock? Oy. I have to stop caring.

People vote on it. It's a long and involved process, but we don't have to get into that now.

I feel like I see more movies in the theater than the average person, seeing something nearly every week, and am always amazed when these lists come out and I've hardly seen anything on them.

Best Supporting is for any tv series, miniseries, or movie? That's whack.

NPH tweeted:

ActuallyNPH: Thanks, gang, for the Globe love. I'm most excited to be in the same category as Michael Emerson! His work on Lost is spectacumazing.

And we were just saying that, that we wish there were a way for both of them to win.

I have no favorites this year for Best Motion Picture Drama or actor or actress. I never watch the show anyways, but I always like to hear someone I like to win.

LEA MICHELE!

Fuck yeah! I'm really, really happy for her.

And I must say that my inner fanboy is very pleased that U2 got the nomination.

Best Pictures:

NINE:Are you fucking serious...I heard that movie was terrible.
Currently holds a 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.

AVATAR: Still have to see it, but if you are going to nominated a SciFi movie why not Star Trek or District 9?

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS: FOR THE WIN!

PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL PUSH BY SAPPHIRE: Good movie

UP IN THE AIR: Awesome movie!

Where is The Hurtlocker?

Anyway...Christoph Waltz will win...and if he doesn't Eli will probably get all upset and tweet about it.
