I have been listening to his work recently and wondered what some people thought his best work was. I felt while his early 70's work was the most groundbreaking , I always loved his 1992 jamming in ny. I thought it captured the right balance between the old carlin wit and the latter day anger he had in his career.

George will always be my favorite comedian. I never missed his HBO specials when they premiered. I thought his 90's work was the best. His work in the 2000's was great too, but he was definitely angrier.

in 1988, the what am i doing in new jersey? album, he lost his introspective, slighty stoner, observational and it turned to more of a attack.
