Personally, I've long felt Jackson's output in the '90s was bloated, ego-driven garbage with overly sentimental lyrics that would have made even a writer of Hallmark Cards cringe. Sure, some of his '80s work could have done with a trim here and there, but nothing like his later crimes to pop. I think Jones really helped keep his messiah complex in check which greatly benefited the end product.

I'd be lying if I said his post 80s stuff is as good as the stuff before, but I think Dangerous was a solid album in its own right. I agree about the overly sentimental stuff, though I wouldnt say it was garbage, but there seemed to always be some gems in there too. I always hoped he'd release another album that would blow everyone away.

There was no implication that people couldn't just like the music if they wanted on my part, but the overstatement was clear on the other poster's part that there is nothing to love about MJ as a human being BUT the music.

I'll repeat it a different way: there no factual basis to tell someone they should only love MJ for his music and not the many other good things he did/brought to this world.

If anyone can list the facts as they were heard and proven, I'll be all ears. I've done quite a bit of re-looking into all this stuff, actually, as showing support for a proven child molester is a rather irreconcilable position, being a parent.

but what books were they? "books of nude child photos" sounds very menacing, as if they were filled cover to cover with naked children. I dont think thats the case. they were deemed to not be pornography. Where they art books that just happened to have some shots of naked children? I'm sure you could find a Sally Mann book on Amazon that has naked children in it. Michael was an artist himself and a collector of art. I can only assume he had an appreciation of photography too. Just owning books that happen to have nude children does not automatically make him a pedophile, regardless of the fact that he liked to spend time with kids

Evidence of what, exactly? Possession of child pornography? I believe there is an offense on the books that covers this area. Mind you, it has to stand up as being actually pornographic.

As I understand it, there was more adult heterosexual pornography found in MJ's bedroom than anything remotely approaching real child pornography. I'm always open to hear a more accurate account, if you have it.
