Breakthrough performance Michael B. Jordan? Clearly they haven't asked where Wallace is at.

Golden Globes Awards | The Hollywood Foreign Press Association <-- Nominees

Not film related, but I didn't realize that shows in the middle of their first season could be nominated for things...Michael J. Fox, Masters of Sex and James Spader all getting nominations is...strange to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Spader, but I haven't seen enough of his character on The Blacklist to say that he deserves a win over, oh, I don't know, Spacey or Cranston. There are signs that he's got a good thing going, but really...I need a whole season.

Critics get screeners of television seasons before they air.

Full seasons? They're not even done filming this season, far as I know.

That's how it's classified at the Academy Awards as well. Because it's based on pre-existing characters.

Don't really agree with that approach but there is precedent.

Ah, I see. Yup, I guess it is based on pre-existing characters, but I agree that that alone shouldn't render it adapted screenplay.

I think the Best Actor category will be one to watch. This may be DiCaprio's chance to finally win an Oscar, but McConaughey has a great shot as well.
