Well, technically this isn't a divorce, but it is a major break up.

Long time partners Susan Sarandon and Timothy Robbins have broken up.

WOAH there! They have been together for a long long time! This is a shock as they just seemed soooo compatible! Like they would be together forever. Wow! I am shocked!
 
Wow! seriously? well I believe susan may be around 10 years older than Tim if I can remember correctly? now she really IS a Cougar!:wink:
 
That's way beyond cougar (if true of course). You'd need a new word for that one.. And she's way past a mid life crisis, unless she's going to live to 120.

I never knew there were ping pong social clubs either

Not a "divorce" since they were never married, but they have that houseful of kids and supposedly have filed formal separation papers...

THE Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have signed papers paving the way for a legal separation with joint custody of their six children, it was reported last night.

The couple, known as Brangelina, have been together since shooting the thriller Mr and Mrs Smith five years ago. They are said to have agreed that the children will live with Jolie.

The couple are not married; they said they would marry only when American homosexuals were also able to wed. Even so, documents were filed with a Los Angeles lawyer earlier this month to help with a smooth separation, unnamed sources told the News of the World. Pitt and Jolie will keep all the money they have earned, which Forbes estimates at more than $100m (£62m) each.

Pitt, 46, will have full access to their three biological children, Shiloh and the twins Knox and Vivienne, as well as three adopted children, Maddox, from Cambodia, Zahara, from Ethiopia, and Pax, from Vietnam. All have the surname Jolie-Pitt.

Yesterday associates of both actors declined to comment, one saying it was a “private matter”.

The News of the World says the lawyers, based in Beverly Hills, have cleared the path for an announcement that has been the subject of rumours for many months.

Last week National Enquirer magazine carried a story that Pitt and Jolie had a final explosive row at a New York restaurant called the Alto on January 6.

It claimed that Pitt staged the six-hour dinner as an intervention to persuade Jolie, 34, to get psychiatric help. It alleged that she had suffered depression since the death of her mother from ovarian cancer three years ago, since when Jolie’s weight has dropped dramatically. It also claimed she had made a suicide attempt.

The magazine said that after that stormy night, the couple agreed their relationship was over and “their focus is now on making a smooth transition for their children”.

Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, 40, his former wife, were seen backstage together at the Haiti telethon in Los Angeles on Friday while Jolie was in New York promoting her next film, Salt.

Oh, and I can't wait for the tabloids to tell me how Jennifer Aniston feels about this.
 
Didn't we all already know Angelina was a bit "unstable" that whole wearing Billy Bob's blood around her neck thing was normal...not....and yes...that beard....maybe it was the critters living in Brad's beard that set her off:huh:
 
I dunno ... she seemed wild back in the day, but she seems to have her shit together these days. But I mean, why even believe the stuff you read in tabloids? Why even believe a celebrity saying stuff like that - who's to say they're not just fucking with the public, who eat up everything that comes out of their mouths?

Anyway, before I got all ranty, I actually came in here to say that there are reports that their reps are calling this BS.

So don't start holding candlelight vigils for them yet.
 
Yeah, I agree...actually I read in People Mag last week that they ate at the restaurant quoted in that article ... Alto ... and sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant with all of the other diners...no special treatment....and that they were having a nice dinner together...so I don't know how much of this statement to be true...I tend to believe it is not true...but who knows
 
Well, the Times of London is not a tabloid and I don't think they would run with this story if their info conflicted with the tabloids. It was also on my local news tonight! Guess we'll see...
 
Hey, just reporting what I'm seeing on my favorite gossip blog. :)

Although I do find it weird that they're quoting News of the World ... which isn't quite the Times of London in terms of credibility.

But we shall see, indeed!

Although every other news outlet is now re-reporting the News of the World "scoop" that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are really done, the couple's rep claims the report is a lie.

But remember Brad and Jen took a trip to Mexico prior to announcing their split?
