I am convinced he has a teen fan club...he has the looks of someone Disney took off the streets and made famous...

They were generous with cartoon Kara's boobies.

And didn't give cartoon Simon big enough boobies.

The press was invited to watch the Idols rehearse their Elvis tunes this week, and while the Los Angeles Times, was careful not to reveal much in their report, People magazine had some pretty detailed descriptions of what we might find tonight when the Idols hit the stage–stopping short of revealing song titles.

A rundown for each Idol, after the jump. What do you think the Idols are singing?
No songs are listed - just how they rehearsed and in what manner

CASEY JAMES: Don’t be fooled by the acoustic guitar — James has a rollicking number planned. He practices positioned on an isolated round platform that will be surrounded by standing, swaying audience members during the show.

SIOBHAN MAGNUS: Her rehearsal attire stands in contrast to her performance frocks –- she is rocking an Eraserhead T-shirt and ripped jeans. Her second run-through finds her with dead-on vocals but will the judges say the arrangement is contemporary or cabaret? She rehearses at center stage for the first two times and then in her third run-through, she sings while walking down the center stairs on the stage. In the fourth go, she is back center stage and seems a lot more comfortable.

ANDREW GARCIA: He has no instrument! Garcia tries several possible plans of attack, from singing center stage to moving behind the judges’ seats once more. He then practices the sing-and-walk, the knee bend, and other modest dance steps.

CRYSTAL BOWERSOX: Her instrument of choice this week is the electric guitar and she’s singing an up-tempo, holy roller number. Among all the contestants, she is the most vocal at the band performing above her, trying different ways to pace or end the song.

LEE DEWYZE has opted to forgo the bagpipes. He hopes not to forgo the lyrics of his song, either — DeWyze stops and starts when he messes up on the words and spins around with a smirk. As he does take after take, the song seems to get heavier and grungier.

TIM URBAN noodles on the guitar for a while before rehearsing, yet when he begins his mostly acoustic number, he seems to turn in a sweet, low-key performance. He eventually winds up sitting behind the judges’ table with a cello accompaniment.

MICHAEL LYNCHE: Also with an acoustic guitar, he performs an altered arrangement of a song and treats it as a folk ballad while sitting at the edge of the center stage.

AARON KELLY: He’s decided he has had enough of mild and somber and rocks out in his rehearsal, coming down from the stage to the judge’s table. He does a bit of dance and shuffle and really moves around the studio. And Kelly shows off some grit in his voice!

KATIE STEVENS: Appearing like a reincarnation of Katharine McPhee in rehearsal, Stevens belts out an upbeat, big number which, dare we say, sounds country-bluesy? Oh, that doesn’t help the Simon/Kara debate one bit!

I didn't realize Elvis was the theme this week.

At least now it's down to 90 minutes tonight instead of 2 hours. I'm hoping that's not just for the premiere of Glee and is now a less-people-so-less-time change, like past seasons?

T. Urban just put ZOO TV era Bono to shame.

I'm going to start wearing my hair the way Siobhan wore hers tonight.

Man I miss Adam Lambert on this show. I mean, I love Crystal but with Adam it was different. With Adam and to some extent David Cook, you watched to see what the heck they'd pull off next. With Crystal, you know it will be bluesy but really, really good.

Oh, and watching a rerun of the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show right before Idol is maybe not the best idea. U2, Mick, Bruce, Patti, Metallica and even Fergie make these kids look even more amateurish.

I think the thing that confuses me about this show is how persistent some of the contestants are about taking mid-tempo or even up-tempo songs and slowing them down. That's just a recipe for boredom, at least for me. I don't get it.

Crystal was Crystal. Lee surprised me, I liked his performance a lot more than I expected.

Siobahn is getting worse by the week.

I've been unimpressed thus far with every single ex-Idol performer that's been brought back, and of course Adam Lambert did not sing tonight, but I have to say I liked the guy and thought his comments were pretty dead-on. If he sings tomorrow, I'll be hoping to actually like it.

I wish I was over Siobhan...or under her, if you get my meaning. Ahhh snap!

j/k

I think my girl Brooke White from Season 7 is singing on tomorrow night's show.

As for the results, I think Andrew will definitely be one of the two leaving. The other one is up in the air.
