Wow, the Emmy's are awful. I just want to see Mad Men win dramatic series. Though I'd be OK with Big Love as well.

true

there are a few very good shows and actors on that list

but, also some boring, lowest denominator, bloated crap. too.

If Family Guy wins Best Comedy Series, I'll stop watching TV. Unbelievable that it's the first animated nominee since The Flintstones. Completely undeserved.

That knee slide has to be rewarded :shifty:

I don't care about any category except for Best Drama Series (I'd be happy with either Mad Men or House), Lead Actor in a Drama (Jon Hamm and Hugh Laurie both deserve it), but after 4 years and no wins yet, I think I'm going to go with Hugh. The last few episodes of the show this season required a lot of him and he did brilliantly. Although, the last few episodes of MM this season were similar in the sense that they required a lot of Jon, so I'm torn. Here's hoping Elisabeth wins Lead Actress in a drama. She really came into her own this year. I'm surprised January Jones and Christina Hendricks didn't get nods, though, especially Christina in the supporting category. She had a lot of great moments on Mad Men this year. I think Lisa Edelstein should've gotten a nod too in the Lead Actress category. She really stepped up a lot as major player on House this year. Very underrated.

But, but they do all they do all those funny random things on that show! That show drives me freaking nuts!

If it wins though I'll be shocked.

Fuck this. I don't even know where to begin with some of those nominations. That being said, I hope LOST wins everything it's nominated for and, in the event that it doesn't, Naveen Andrews steps out of the crowd and snaps the presenter's neck with his legs.

Very surprising that Jeremy Piven's not nominated, since he's won 3 years in a row.

Then again, Entourage kind of sucks.

Grey Gardens should get everything it's nominated for, including a tie for both Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. I don't care about anything else on the lists although I am a pretty big In Treatment fan.

:bump:

The show is tonight! I'll be taping it and watching it after tonight's Foxboro setlist party. And I have Mad Men scheduled to tape too. :)

Jennifer Carpenter (Morgan, Dexter's sister)

She has been fantastic in every season.

Pretty good show, but I'm an awards show junkie so I'm biased towards the whole spectacle.

Highlights (besides Blake Lively's dress):

Michael Emerson winning
Kristin Chenowith's speech
The cast of 30 Rock being awesome all the time
Drew Barrymore being cool

Lowlights:

That fucker from Two and a Half Men beating out NPH, Tracy Morgan, Jack Mcbrayer and Rainn Wilson

Has anyone seen that Into the Storm movie about Churchill? I kinda want to check it out.

Debra Morgan. Love Dexter. She shouldnt have chopped her hair off though.

I'm only a little over an hour in here on the west coast but am glad to see Jeff Probst won for Survivor. :applaud:
