Still the Dana story line just bugs me...this parole officer can stroll into CTU (which is apparently the easiest place to find in Manhattan) at 3:15 AM and nobody bats an eye, then he just wanders around a secure area unescorted, without so much as a visitor's badge and again nobody bats an eye, c'mon.

I thought it was kinda funny in a strange way. Hey, let's take a stroll through CTU!

Agreed. That last part was killer. Great twist.

In the Canadian Forces, you can't even walk into the parking lot of a building where nobody except a bunch of clerks work on nothing but unclassified paperwork without going through a Commissionaire checkpoint and being ID'd and having your name and business in the building recorded.

At CTU, vital agents are leaving in the middle of national security emergencies for indefinite periods of time without telling their bosses what they're up to or why their personal business is so much more important at 3:00 AM than the imminent and critical threat of a radiological nuclear weapon being set off in Manhattan. As well, there is a publicly-accessible road less than thirty feet away from operational unit workstations, in a concrete tunnel which will direct the force of any explosive blast directly inwards into the agency's situation room. Not to mention none of its electronics are shielded, and workstations are easily viewable from the road by anyone who wants to walk up and look at the window. The location is public and well known and anyone who wants to can walk right up to the doors at any point in time and walk right on in by simply having a quick hello with the guard.

Are you fucking kidding me??

This is by far my biggest beef with the season (Dana/Jenny being a close second), thankfully there is enough good stuff there to keep me watching from week to week. That last five minutes threw me for a complete loop - I had no idea that was coming, which is the first time since Season 5 that that's happened.

Most of the weaknesses in this season revolves around the Starbuck character.

It is like they got her to agree to the casting, and then did not invest any real time in developing a good character for her.

We are to believe her boyfriend, a rising star (2nd in command?) at CTU would do all those stupid things.

And as good as the last 5 minutes were, they do not hold up.
The whole time that red neck probation officer is in the same scene just wandering around.
It seems like the bad guys could have just hi-jacked a pizza delivery van and put a bomb in it and sent it in. Apparently they led anyone off the street right up to the main entry, and if they drop a name they send the hall monitor to go and get the person. You do recall the convict/ boyfriend was able to just walk up and ask for Starbuck.

I agree, awesome ep. But as to the Jenny thing... no worries now, that EMP just erased what stapler dude was looking for.

I still hope she goes to jail so I don't have to watch her stupid story line any longer.

I want Jenny to be shot.

Is that wrong?

And to think, I really liked Starbuck. It's all about the writing, kids.

ETA - That being said, the last few minutes of the last episode were pretty strong.

OK, the episode was awesome until the Jenny thing... season 1 that's a shocker, not now, and hear I was so happy that they'd avoided that one cliche.

However, Renee Walker, KICK ASS ENTRANCE!!!

At least now we understand why they've made her character so unlikeable.
