YAY for Kate Winslet! It's about fucking time! LOVE HER!!!

I still can't believe i just saw Mickey Rourke win a Best Actor Award. Good for him.

Um, wtf happened to Drew Barrymore's hair? Did she actually pay someone for that?

Omg, that girl from Slumdog Millionaire is absolutely gorgeous!

Why must Miley Cyrus show up at every awards show? She is so out of her league here.

Overall a very entertaining show.

Just checking - I read your post like "why the heck is she there" instead of "lord, I'm sick of her stupid mug."

And I agree. ;)

I loooooooooooooove that Kate won both awards - that is freaking awesome. Otherwise it seems too much like "well, we love kate, but we want so-and-so to win the big award, so let's give Kate the supporting award." This says "You know what? Screw it - Kate was the best in both categories, so she gets both."

Can someone post the end results.. I'm too busy forumizing and not watching. :scream:

What did he say about Guy Richie and Madonna that had Penelope Cruz looking disgusted and a bunch of almost-boos from the audience? I missed what he said.

He was talking about the recession and how it affected celebrities. Madonna had to let go of one of her servants "Guy Ritchie". Something like that. I have to look for the youtube video. Just classic.!

Ha! That's pretty funny. Watching/hearing the reactions, I thought it was something really offensive or something. I'm surprised that got the reaction it did.

Thank you. Please tell me WHAT is Mad Men and how did it beat House and Dexter??

You've never heard of Mad Men? Sicy, my darling dear Sicy, have you been living under a rock?

Show on AMC about an advertising agency in the 50s. Huge critical acclaim, actors featured in every magazine/TV show under the sun this past year.

Mad Men is only the single more glorious bit of television programming ever to grace my eyeballs.

Time to start, Sicy. I caught the first season right before season 2 aired. It won't be back on til July 2009, so you have time to catch up. Really good show (and I watch House).

Glad I wasn't the only one cringing at Drew Barrymore's hair. WTF? Bad Marilyn Monroe immitation if that's what you call it. And the blue eye shadow :der: She was on one of the pre-shows with either Seacrest or O'dell or something (the one that looked like either a mermaid or egyptian princess or something) :crack: Drew's hair looked even bigger than it did later in the evening. She's gonna get slammed tomorrow.

I wish I could get DVD copies of all these movies & watch them at home. So many I want to see this year.

Odd that Milk wasn't up for best picture, no?

what was with so many women's hair this year? They looked like they'd had it done, them had to job a mile to get there and it just all fell messy and everywhere.

Ledger win was *yawn*

Ricky Gervais was brilliant! Love him.

Did Emma Thompson piss Dustin off? I didn't know if he was acting or whether he was like 'oh god a drunk brit, what is going to happen!'

Tina ♥ -SUCK IT! hahahaha

i also think its shitty that they've put drama and comedy TV stars in the same category. STUPID.
