Mad Men and House, FTW. I'd be thrilled with either of them winning the Drama and Lead Actor categories. I'm pulling for Hugh a bit more, though, because he's longer overdue for an Emmy win.

I'm rooting for Mad Men, The Office, Flight of the Conchords, and 30 Rock here... I wish Always Sunny and Battlestar Galacticagot some representation, too, but that's life.

House
- best days are in the past

True, but he deserves something. If the Grammys can award the aged for being alive over someone who actually made a good record, Laurie deserves a pat on the back for turning in a set of performances that's only slightly below his previously stratospheric standards.

I deleted the guest acting awards since those were already handed out last week. Also, Best Reality Show went to Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D List. The Simpsons took home outstanding half hour animated series while South Park took home the award for animated program one hour or longer for its "Imaginationland" three parter.

Woot! Didn't realize it was on tonight! My picks for categories I actually care about:

Outstanding Drama Series
Lost

Outstanding Comedy Series
The Office
30 Rock
Curb Your Enthusiasm

Don't make me pick! Although if forced to, I suppose the order I would pick them in is as above.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Michael C. Hall, Dexter

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series
Steve Carell, The Office
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock

These are both pretty equal to me.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
Tina Fey, 30 Rock

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie
Ricky Gervais, Extras: The Extra Special Series Finale

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Michael Emerson, Lost

If Emerson doesn't win this after the season he had, there's no justice in the world.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Rainn Wilson, The Office

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Amy Poehler, Saturday Night Live

I think this is a bizarre nomination in this category, but she's the closest I'd come to wanting a winner. Don't they have a comedy/variety show category?

Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series
Shelley Berman, Curb Your Enthusiasm
Will Arnett, 30 Rock

I'd rather Arnett win, but I'd be good with Berman, too.

Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series
Elaine Stritch, 30 Rock

Even if I didn't think she was the best in the category (I do), I'd still want her to win to see what crazy shit she'd say in her speech.

Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program
Jon Stewart, host; 80th Annual Academy Awards
Stephen Colbert, host; The Colbert Report
David Letterman, host; Late Show With David Letterman
Tina Fey, host; Saturday Night Live

I'd be fine with any of these.

Outstanding Reality Program
Antiques Roadshow

Outstanding Reality-Competition Program
The Amazing Race

Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program
Jeff Probst, Survivor

Outstanding Made for Television Movie
Extras: The Extra Special Series Finale

Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series
The Colbert Report

Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series
The Office, "Dinner Party"

Actually, I'd be okay with any of these other than Pushing Daisies, were it not for the fact that Dinner Party was one of the most awesome, tense, funny, and uncomfortable half hours of television I've ever experienced.

Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program
The Colbert Report
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

like the show... but i think jeremy is a prick...

btw.. Ricky Gervais cracked me up.. he's so fuckin hilarious! What a great bit.. and Carrell's dead pan face was great!

I love me an awards show. Rich, pretty people getting ego boosts while looking rich and pretty. It's great.

Saw pictures of Christina Applegate and she looked amazing after all that she's been through. I loved her dress. Kate Walsh and Evangeline Lily looked gorgeous too!

LOST got robbed.

And is 30 Rock really that good? I might need to start watching that show.

Mad Men's the shit, have you seen it?

I'd say it's on par with The Office, Conchords and Always Sunny as one of the funniest shows on TV.

I echo YLB's sentiment on 30 Rock, although I'd argue it's the best of that bunch.

Weeds also deserves consideration in that league. Californication might depending on its upcoming second season.

Yeah, the few episodes I've seen of Mad Men were really well done. And January Jones is a fox. It probably deserved it, but I'm just a total LOST junkie/fanboy/apologist, etc.

And yeah I'm gonna start watching 30 Rock this year. I don't know why I hadn't before. Every clip I've seen of Alec Baldwin's character has been hilarious.

I've been meaning to watch Weeds for the longest time. Once I'm caught up with all of Mad Men, I'll make that my next TV goal.

Fair enough.

My favorite episode of 30 Rock was the one with Paul Reubens as the deformed German monarch... I don't think anything's made me laugh that hard on TV in recent memory besides Prison Mike.

I am just watching the beginning on tivo now,
and I don't care if I get spoiled by looking in here

but, I will say Oprah's opening was boring
and she needs to bet back on the slimfast before she kills herself

Heidie Klum looks great in her suit.

and in her hot pants

I'm incredibly disturbed by how hot I'm finding Josh Groban.

And OH MY GOD, his South Park theme song was awesome. Who knew he did impressions? The whole TV theme bit was cheesy but well done.

Josh Groban, I'm sorry if I've judged you harshly in the past. From now on when someone mentions you, I will think fondly upon this night.
