Understand that I have nothing against showing patriotism. And having a national hero lighting the fire is an Olympic tradition. Itīs just when it becomes tasteless and too much "in your face"(read: Atlanta 96) I donīt like it.

So far I have to say Iīve been completely wrong with my prediction about the Olympics, and itīs been two great days.

I don't really care, since I only watch the Summer Olympics. But it's sad to see how so many people seem to forget what the Olympics symbolize.

Thank god Americans usually don't win that many medals at the Winter Games

Sammy L. Jackson, "Jealous Mutha Fucka."

What is It Day 14?

We Are Second in the MEdal Count.. 26 Medals

9 Gold

9 Silver

8 Bronze

And I didn't even wait until Figure Skating was Finished.

I think you have just been spoon fed your pile of crap, teaspoon by teaspoon, that you tried to smear on us.

And anyways, I think there are better things to be thanking god about.

looks like that's changing

seriously though, what's wrong with pride in sports? unless of course you hate sports

I didnt think cheering on your team was wrong, and quite honestly I'm rooting for a lot of individuals, regardless of their nationality. but of course I want the US to win, just like I want the Flyers to win all the time; I live here, therefore it's my team.. and I hate when politics are dragged into sports..

Some people say you shouldn't mix sport and politics or music and politics or whatever...

there's a differnce between pride, and immature mocking, everytime that "My House" ad bursts out. the intentions might be good, but the way they are expressed, leaves a lot to be desired. it's called good sportsmanship.
i think right now, the US 2nd in the medal count and tied for 2nd with germany in the gold medal count.

Look people - if we go by pr capita model than Croatia is the biggest winter olympics power. There are only 4 milion of us, and we allready have 3 gold medals and 1 silver.

So we are the best - US is nothing compared to the power of croatia - or better to say 1 croat beats few doesens of americans, germans, etc...

I hope that now you will respect me more, me and my greatness

I'm afraid Croatia isn't best even if you count like that. Norway is.
Their population is 4.5 million and has so far taken 22 medals, 11 golds, 7 silver and 4 bronze. They are crazy and nothing comes close to that. LOL
When interviewed, our king was asked if he considered to create a union again with Norway. LOL

Oh...let Croatia have their moment!

I like it when smaller countries win...I was rooting for Belarus in the hockey games ...they did very well....that an I am finally getting a chance to learn to identify all the flags of the so called newer countries and their national anthems...
