Wild Horses, Pt II

Some of you may remember I posted a petition about the plan to decimate the Wild Horse and Burro preservation act, and that the bill to do so passed.

But there has been good news--a bill, H.R. 297 has been introduced to restore the prohibition on the commercial sale and slaughter of wild horses.

They're asking you to write your representives to support H.R. 297 and also to thank the two representatives who introduced it.
Please do so! They have a template letter, but if you're feeling particularly eloquent (I wasn't. ) you can write your own.

that's excellent news!
i've been watching a similar shit fight occur between the state and federal govt's over a large slab of land near me, which as far as i can tell should only be about the kangaroos and misc other wildlife, which will be slaughtered in the name of development. thankfully (ha) liberal got in.

great news though.
