Republican - You believe that the free market will take care of most things, but that the government should be there with moderate taxation to provide for national defense and enforcing morality. Your historical role model is Ronald Reagan.

Green - You believe that small economic units should control the goods, and that the government should be permissive of "victimless crimes," respectful of civil liberties and very strict towards big business. You also believe in either a socialist tax structure or more power to local communities. You think that environmental policies should be written into law. Your historical role model is Ralph Nader.

Apparently, none. I couldn't answer three of the questions since I didn't like any of the answers. Seems about right.

Democrat - You believe that there should be a free market which is reigned in by a modest state beaurocracy. You think that capitalism has some good things, but that those it helps should be obliged to help out their fellow man a little. Your historical role model is Franklin Rosevelt.

I fucking hate those cut and paste things.

Is there a quiz about how much you can hate cut and paste things?

Funny - I didn't think being a Democrat was a stereotype!

I'm actually registered as an independent, but I do vote Democrat more often than not.

I hate cut and paste too. I got around it by just copying the text and pasting it. I figured everyone knows what FDR looked like already.

Anarcho-Syndicalist - You believe that governments and corporations are both equally evil. You think that all people should have maximum personal freedom. You think everyone should have control over their economic production, because the economy should be structured completely in terms of cooperatives and communes. Your historical role model is Noam Chomsky.

LOL, me also. :hmm:

I had a hard time with this one:

The goods of society are best distributed through...

a free market but taxed enough to provide ample social services for the lower classes

or

a free market but taxed to provide some social services and protect the environment

I would like a free market taxed to provide amble social services for the lower classes AND protect the environment.

Libertarian - You believe that the main use for government is for some people to lord it over others at their expense. You maintain that the government should be as small as possible, and that civil liberties, "victimless crimes", and gun ownership should be basic rights. You probably are OK with capitalism. Your historical role model is Thomas Jefferson.

(Okay, so technically I got Democrat first time around, but I decided that was boring and went to try again, this time with my second-choice answers. And look at me now...)

Yo Chomsky!

I´m not anarcho however. I´m not opposed to the state per se, but opposed to borders. I think the state should perform a regulating function towards economy, but not towards its citizens. Corporate control yes, private control nope. I may add that environmental issues are very important.
