If you are aware of the many voting abnormalities that occurred throughout Ohio and Florida last Tuesday during the American general election, and if you are discouraged by the total lack of attention the mainstream media has to this point given the abnormalities, there is still hope!

Tonight, on MSNBC’s “Countdown” (8:00 pm) with Keith Olbermann, the show will pay close attention what has generally been given little attention outside of the blog community. His show review the hard facts that suggest interference or sabotage in the election ensuring Bush a second term in office. Olbermann has made it a personal mission to bring the vote abuses in Ohio and Florida to the national spotlight.

For those unaware of the voting irregularities in the election, or of the general world reaction to the election, check out these links:

Ok, the Guardian link is now working. However, it talks about the general reaction in England about the Iraq war and American election, so I changed the link header to read: “For those unaware of the voting irregularities in the election, or of the general world reaction to the election, check out these links:”

Sorry about the mistake!

The remaining links should all talk about the voting irregularities in the American election. If you want more sources, do a quick search using yahoo! or Google.

Try looking up Jeff Fisher, he's a Florida politician who is leading the movement to assess the election results.

Perhaps exit polling would be more efficient. Just have everyone line up and do a tally like we did with student council elections in middle school. Well, perhaps not efficient, but at least accurate. Have little computerized screens that record each tally mark or something. The lines were long enough anyway, although it's interesting to note that my Spanish teacher, who is from Venezuela, usually has to wait at least 14 hours in line to vote there. Of course, she says, they do voting when the highest number of people can come, not like in the middle of a week!

Why have an election? Apparently, we can just do exit polling.

This is not a joke. Voter fraud goes against everything America stands for.
There are so many stories coming out about screwups, it is getting hard to keep track. They do not concern exit polling but found gliches here in Oh, Fla, and NM.

Hang on it's going to be a bumpy ride!

To really help: take my original post and email it to all you friends and family. Keith Olbermann will continue discussing the abuses in Ohio and Florida for the near future guaranteed. As more people become aware of the voting irregularities, more truth will surface!

Susan Sarandon, who has been very involved in Ohio, said on Bill Maher's show that Nader is about to file a lawsuit.

Yes, Keith Olbermann mentioned Nader. Nader is calling on Kerry and Edwards to keep their promise of making sure every vote is counted.

no offense, but this is really just speculation until there is some corroborating evidence. I live in a rural town in MA where I know the vote was tallied correctly. Bush won aroudn 65% of the vote. Voter registration is highly Democratic. On the surface this would appear erroneous. What it doesn't take into account is the demographic profile that favors a Bush victory.

If this were a real story, I think the NY Times would be all over it. I'm still waiting for the stories on why the foreign military vote was suppressed in some areas.

Speculation is that the mainstream media is avoiding the topic now because it resembles the 2000 debacle too much. NCB, through Keith Olbermann, has begun to run the story. Other news agents are slowly following suit.

The most significant evidence so far can be found following the first link I provided in my lead post.

one way or another, there is something amiss in this situation.

as a professional who has been involved in public opinion polling, it is difficult to grasp how the firms purported to 'foremost' in the field (i am inferring this as fact because they were likely funded by major media outlets to run exit polls. mom & pop pub. op. shops arent going to get contracts) can be so fundamentally wrong.

either the exit polls were so far off the actual vote that something sinister may have occurred in the tabulation/fabrication of those exit poll numbers, OR

voting machines did not correctly report what voters chose, as was correctly expressed via the exit polls.

perhaps somewhere in between but this should definitely be of concern. brushing this off because 99 votes were screwy and bush won by a 100 is laughable.

evidence seems to break either way.

i remember the afternoon of the election when blogs started posting the early kerry-favored exit polls (and they were reported here). this seems like one good way to commence the dissemination of misinformation-feeding the same numbers to the media is also beneficial. the more prevalent the information is, the truer it is.

it is also entirely possible that these exit polls were entirely correct and voting machines mis-recorded, as evidence in these articles suggests is known to have happened.

a good, even handed analysis iron chef kobe. i agree. until there are cold hard facts this whole screw up could go either way. that said, i think the electoral college is ridiculous and if bush took the popular vote, he should be president...of course this is my opinion. p.s. not that i want him to be.

secondly, did anyone else read an article about how one of bush's aides sat him down tuesday night and informed him that he had lost the election? i can't remember where i saw this.

that story is recounted in one of the links above. im not sure which one though.

who cares....we have a new U2 album....and it does not matter who our president is.....get over it and enjoy life.....fuck the politicians!
