Not as much, no. Everytime I do a websearch on a far-left idea, commondreams.org always comes us. Most mainstream news organizations don't ADVOCATE one side while ignoring the other side completely.

You can joke all you want about the bias in mainstream news, but I'll only take you seriously when CNN, MSNBC, or FOX posts these article titles on their website:

No to a Far-Right Court: Use Filibusters...
President Bush Asks NOT What You Can Do For Your Country...
Iraq Invasion Will Trigger 'Human Catastrophe,' Report Warns
Place a "Attack Iraq? No!" bumper sticker on your car!
World Bank Continues to Back Polluting Incinerators...

Hahaha..it's not even close to mainstream media. Sorry, FizzingWhizzbees, not even close.

I read CNN.com and FoxNews.com. Occasionally, I read the Yahoo.com news for quick stuff.

Wow, joygirl, those websites are incredibly biased. Are you okay with getting your news through such a biased filter?
I also watch msnbc, cnn, BBC USA, and read the New York Times and sometimes The Economist. I get plenty of news from mainstream media. It's kind of in-your-face. But I do go out of my way to find news from independent (non-corporate-owned) sources. I feel it balances things out and I don't automatically assume that everything I read on commondreams.org is the gospel truth.

I was going to say you get balance by reading the right-wing postings in FYM.

Ok, sorry about that. When you listed just a couple news sources and they were commondreams and democracynow, I thought you were posting your only news sources.

I pretty much get my news from Yahoo, because much of it comes from Reuters\AP without a lot of filtering. Yahoo's bias shows when they determine what stories deserve to make it to the main page. Strange, but I don't find that the winner of American Idol needs to be posted on the mainpage for everyone to see.
