I think it is more like 1 and 1/2.
With Clinton/Clinton + VP, voters might feel they are electing 2 1/2 or 3 people - that might be too much to stomach - we'll see.

you really seem to be all worked up about nothing

again, with Reagan, one person was President

with Bush 1, one person was President
(who even remembers Quayle)

with Clinton, one person was President
Gore did not upstage Clinton

Hillary is perceived as a competent, effective Senator, the fact that she is married to a popular, well-respected exPresident has not sidetracked or interfered with her work in the Senate

If you keep saying it, maybe others will believe it as well.

I clarified and elaborated a bit after your rude "wtf" post.

If, as appears may be the case, the GOP is finally settling on a candidate to rally around, then it's only a question of time until attempts to divide the Dems and manipulate the Dem race begin in earnest. And trying to stir the respective factions' doubts about each other to mutual irrational fever pitch is likely to be key to that. That's not a conspiracy theory, just how politics works...be ready for it. Obama is not a bantamweight naïf and Hillary is not the spawn of Satan.

Leave it to Yolland to get it right. . .

I think the Hillary hatred is unwarranted. I think she would make a very good president and I would probably vote for her if she got the nomination. I still prefer Obama but my preference certainly doesn't make me hate Hillary.

I concur

all along
I have said I think Obama is a fine fellow
I do expect to vote for him if he is the Dem nominee

I just think Hillary is a better choice for the country

To me, this is almost the more interesting part of the race. I would love to see how the evangelicals react to Huckabee essentially being taken out of the race by the Republican establishment. Maybe they will finally wake up to the fact that they've been used for years and the only thing they really have to show for it are a couple of court appointments. They've not gotten almost anything they wanted.

As Bill Maher said last night, "If you hate Hillary it is soooo about YOU."

But you have posted your little tidbit in this thread a number of times. I think we all got the point, whatever point you were trying to make.

Actually the subsequent posts were responses - i.e. discussion- the point of FYM. But I'll make sure I get your permission before posting again.

The following link has Barack Obama's 7 page US foreign Policy essay entitled "Renewing American Leadership" from the July/August 2007 issue of "Foreign Affairs".
