this was done over a year ago, but i didn't wanna unearth a really old thread. (esp. cuz it was back before the forum change so all the smilies are red x's, etc.)

so i thought i might as well start a new thread about it, since we've got a lot more people here than we did before. i'm not intending for this to be some spirituality debate as to which religion is better, or even which one you follow, but which one you're most compatible with. i think the results are funny, cuz this time around, i didn't get my religion as the top spot. it made #2. :D

the link

here goes...

2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (94%)

btw...feel free to elaborate on your results. if your religion/belief made #1 for you, then tell us! :D if something else did, but you think it sounds outlandish, or really interesting, cool! :D

i was shocked to see i was most compatible with orthodox quakers! i mean 100! wow! but after reading the description (belief in the holy trinity, the creation may not have been a 7 day span as we know it, inward salvation rather than outward, nonviolence, etc.) it sounds a lot more like me than liberal christian protestants does at times. interesting, i must find out more about this religion...

Very interesting. My true religion came in at #5!
Hmmmm....

Wow. This is definitely not what I expected. I was born into Catholicism, but I've never really felt like I was Catholic, so it's not surprising that it didn't score high. But I never expected it to come in after Scientology or New Age. That said, I think the top four mesh pretty well with my belief system, although I'd say the top two should probably be switched. Yeah, this was pretty interesting.

No surprises here. I guess they don't have a category for radical liberal Catholics who go to Episcopal churches...lol.

Interesting - I would attend 4, 7 & 8 before even considering venturing into 2, 5 or 6. But with only 20 questions, what do you expect?

I was pretty stunned myself at the results... #1 was Mormon #3 jehovah witness with seventh day adventist and Islam not following far behind

pretty crazy for a lutheran girl!

pretty neat. I guess Secular Humanism is as close to what I believe as that site gats. It's pretty much exactly what I believe in cept different title for things. I find it hilarious how Roman Catholic managed to get 6%.

Wow, after being a Catholic, a Congregationalist, a Nazare, A Congregationalist, and a Catholic again...........I am thoroughly confused now. My Priest is not going to be happy about this.

I recently started attending a Congregational church after not attending for years, and it looks like I picked the right religion for me! I was brought up Catholic by 2 non-practicing parents. My mother is protestant, but thought we should follow my Dad's religion because she felt left out of the religious celebrations as a child.

I went to CCD and was sent to Church on Sunday with my younger sister. After awhile, when we were sent to Church we did other things during that time.

They didn't ask the important questions, seems more like "how much do your answers match the infro brochures you can get from them.

1st time i tried to answer verry exact - after that all religions got 0% - 2nd try i tried something like "okay, this answer is the least stupid one.."
Maybe it's just contra-productive if people think themself about Religion and because of that their point of view is slightly different from "mainstream" ,-)
