Well I liked Latham apart from the whole Third Way bollocks which he seem to have bought from Tony Blair's government (and which means nothing, it certainly doesn't mean Labor social democracy). Perhaps he has moved on from that.

Not really sure what you mean about Howard not treating him as a suitable opponent... it seems to me that Howard is taking Latham very seriously.
