i know ... i'm surprised he doesn't have "born in the USA" on there. it seems like Republicans misunderstand that song all the time and believe it's some kind of uplifting, patriotic song -- like that Lee Greenwood grabage, or the jingoistic rah-rah of Tobey Keith ... who, it turns out, didn't support the invasion of Iraq.

Bruce is about as far left as any major rock act out there -- hugely supportive of labor unions as well as oppressed social groups. his gift for empathizing with those less fortunate than he is extraordinary, like in "streets of philadelphia."

Bush, however, shares none of these qualities.

Maybe we should wait till after this tour to see if he should keep the day job before planning his political agenda.
