Yes, I think it is 'new' and it is great news indeed! :applaud:

I can't believe we'd compare the usefulness of cures for deadly diseases.

Nevermind the mortality rates of the two diseases - take for example the 3% mortality rate of the malaria epidemic in Ethiopia in 2003 vs. a study done in the UK in 2001 which cites a 47% chance survival, or 57% chance of death if you are diagnosed with cervical cancer.

So if you really want to compare usefulness, which in itself I find somewhat unattractive, then a good if not great case can be made that you are in effect, incorrect.

I really sometimes wonder about FYM. Some days...

any step toward the prevention and cure of cancer is a great thing. Hopefully this will be the first of many cancers to be "beaten" by modern medicine

This I think is the biggest news I heard all week and I'm suprised it hasn't received more attention.

You'd be shocked at how many college aged girls are walking around with these pre-cancerous cells (HPV). Which is spread quickly and without notice.

This is wonderful news and I've read that it could be available in a matter of months not years.
