I’d genuinely be quicker to call Donald Trump “decent” before calling Mike Pence decent. Mike Pence is just more of the “sane” but evil type. As in, I trust certain aspects of government can receive reasonable command and order, unlike with Donald Trump. That doesn’t make him not an abhorrent human being.

He aligns with left leaning voters. He'd never get anywhere in the Republican primaries, and if he ran as an independent he'd merely siphon votes away from the Democratic candidate and hand Trump reelection.
