christiana How can you be Chinese and not like hot and sour?! Hot and sour is the only way to go, xiao-jie! This is why I love Malaysia! We're so close to Tom Yum Soup Heaven aka Thailand! Malaysian curries are the best, best are the ones with green chillies in them. I go all over the state hunting for the best Tom Yum Soup. My favourite is the seafood one where there are fat juicy prawns in them + lemon grass + tm yum paste + spring onions + fish pieces + mee hoon (thin noodles) + red chillis + white mushrooms (mm!). We also have Nyonya (which is a race of mixed Malay + Chinese folks) dishes here, the best being Asam Laksa from Penang Island and I tell you, this stuff is heaven in a bowl! It has shredded fish, mint leaves, asam (sour curry paste), lemon grass and other stuff.

Babbling. I'm babbling.

foraycious, you're making me hungry!!!!

My mom said I'm weird on this. I always tell others that I dislike hot and sour food(and many other), but when the dishes are placed in front of me, I can't help but drooling!!

Okay, maybe I don't dislike hot and sour then...

Well, if I had to answer that I would say because I don't think they acted like girls when they were small, did they? I don't think effeminism is something that is natural, oh sure - you might be born more sensitive or not like sports or whatever, but that isn't the 'camp' act. And when I mean 'act, I don't go by the usual convention of the word, which is acting - those who do it do because they're comfortable with it and have made it their style of doing things; it becomes a part of them. However, that does not imply that it was ALWAYS a part of them, and I believe that it isn't.

Even worse is people in the city who drive SUVs.

No, veggies in and of themselves are okay, just not the "steamed" variety. But you are right on target with most of your other dislikes; I do drive an SUV, though not a "giant" suv.

In finding out that tihs was a ligitimate thread and not some clever name... I didnt bother to read over everyones entrys, so i appologize for potential overlap. List of things I hate.

- superficiality, unless its a wound, in which case Id much rather a long superficial scratch then being horribly gouged to death

- on that note, injuries of any kind, unless they happen in a humourous fashion

- heights, suspension bridges, tall buildings that creak, elevators that creak, escalators, helicopters with no doors, window replacement, cold winds, wind chill, cold hands (you all know what i mean!).... new subheading time i guess

- people who neither shower nor wear deodorant in public on a semi-frenquent basis

- people who leave less than 1/5th of a glass worth of milk in the bottom of the pitcher; there is a fine art to leaving it so its heavy enough to feel like it doesnt need to have the bag replaced and still leave less than 3/4s of a glass of milk, and then just utter failure in leaving it empty but not bothering to replace it, either get your ass in gear and replace it or figure out that ammount, but dont cop out and be lazy wihtout doing either... geezuz

- having colds, blowing your nose so much its all raw and hurty... And having watery eyes to the point it makes it look like youre going to cry...

- people who call bono, bone-oh and claim to be U2 fans... pretty much anyone whos a poser

- conformity

- when people say "brb" on an instant messanger service and then dont come back, and feel no remorse of it either. Also, when people say Ill call you at such and such a time on this day, and then they dont, and you waste your sorryass time waiting and they dont bother.

- conduct unbecoming a (insert position here)

- team sex... or lack thereof

- overprotectiveness

- not so much capitalism, as capitalistic bastards who dont give a shit about the world or anyone but themselves

- arrogance, only if its not me lol

- misappropriation of funds or otherwise

- squealers

- people who walk in the hall, and stop making an unpassable barricade, people who speed up to pass you on the highway and then slow down... people that pass you on the highway when youre already going 15 clicks over the limit, and theyre quickly over the horizon.

- drinking for the sake of inebriation, wherein you cause physical injury to others or destroy property of others

- when I ramble on incessantly and noone seems to care

- bi- anything but lingual and cycle

- depression...

- people who ask too many questions

- people in general

- people who call me anti-social, im not anti-social, im anti-idiot. Actually Im avoidant, not anti-social, but still, shut up.

Blargh, GAO, and curses upon all who stand in my way.

I can see where you would have suspected that, what with it coming from me.

Eh...that guy who tried to tip a Coke out of a Coke machine and got killed got what he deserved.

I don't particularly care to see people shower in public, unless they're female and shapely.

Especially people who stand in doorways.

[*] The attitude of most Bostonians at first. Native Bostonians are very cold people. I've lived here for 4.5 years and have really just started breaking through the shell of some Bostonians. I've also seen people who moved here suddenly acquiring this "cold shell" after being here a while. Formerly warm and welcoming people, become very distrusting of new people. I will admit, once one breaks through this shell, Bostonians are amongst the loyalist of friends. It's just that it takes sometimes years to get through that shell. Coming from the mid-west, where I was able to strike up a conversation with anyone and had friends galore (and still do - every time I visit the MidWest), I am still in culture shock over the attitude in the general Boston area.
*sigh*

I thought we had this conversation already Dr. Who.

*shakes head*

Poor midwesterners. You guys really are lost

It's called New England Reserve. We're a quiet folk. Think of us as all having a Larry Mullen Jr. complex. We're not gonna open up to ya at first and trust ya, but once we get to know you, hell, not only can you stay at our house whenever you want, we'll give you our bed (adapted from Flannagans book...every poet is a thief).

I lived in the Midwest for six years and the truth needs to be told right now...it's flat, it's boring, and the people are all wierd

Flat - yes
People wierd - you can call it that, but the same thing could be said about anyone.
boring - sometimes, but the people are weird, and that keeps it interesting!

Anyway, if anyone should know about boring places, it would be someone living in Lee, NH!

I hate:
-All Seafood
-Coffee
-Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Etc.
-Tragically Hip Fans
-Radiohead, and Smashing Pumpkins
-The sound of my alarm going off
-Rude Retail Employee's
-Rich people who think that the more money you have, the better a person you are
-Ignorant People
-People who wear hats to the movies
-That actress's are all under 110 lbs now
-People that wear socks with sandals
-People who forget how a 'four way stop' works when they are at one
-People who are always late
-Badly maintained roads that cause my cd's to skip
-People that call Bono, Bon-oh
-People who argue over the Mullet, and POP Bono, when they should just all agree that he is dead sexy
-People who make fun of Bono, without giving him any respect for all the work that he has done for others
-That Bono is happily married to an incredible woman, and that he doesn't live closer to me
-People who are pro-war but aren't willing to go fight, or have their relative's go fight
-People who put other's down for no reason
-That Robert Downey Jr. left Ally Mcbeal
-That aids is still such a big problem
-That there isn't a cure for cancer yet
-That many countries have thousands of people dying every year because they don't have enough food to eat
-That those countries are having to worry about the intrest on their debt instead of worrying about food, etc.
-That some countries still have capital punishment for crimes as low as shoplifting
-That racism still exists
-That many people don't think before talking
-That there is calories, and fat grams in chocolate

Go ahead and flame me!! I'm in the mood for an argument!!
