Well, you could at least throw the federal government a bone just this once.

True. And I do. I believe that government regulation is the only thing that prevents corporations from fucking over everyone and everything. It is amazing how profit can motivate the end of morality.

I'm glad the federal government had the insight to stop this. It is too bad they don't stop virtual slave labor, as in the pitiful wages that American corporations legally give out, due to ineffectual or weak foreign governments.

"He had lived through an age when men and women with energy and ruthlessness but without much ability or persistence excelled. And even though most of them had gone under, their ignorance had confused Roy, making him wonder whether the things he had striven to learn, and thought of as 'culture,' were irrelevant. Everything was supposed to be the same: commercials, Beethoven's late quartets, pop records, shopfronts, Freud, multi-coloured hair. Greatness, comparison, value, depth: gone, gone, gone. Anything could give some pleasure; he saw that. But not everything provided the sustenance of a deeper understanding." - Hanif Kureishi, Love in a Blue Time

Holy John, didn't anyone ever tell you that backing up your arguments with personal insults totally discredits anything you are trying to say?
As if anyone is going to listen to your points when you personally bash those who don't agree with you.
