Too Young For Liposuction?

This girl had lipo at the age of 12, if you read the article it describes her painful struggles with her weight and self esteem. I feel complete sympathy for this girl, but there are still questions regarding whether it is the best solution for a 12 year old. And doesn't the weight always eventually come back after lipo? It seems as if the lipo has caused such a change in attitude for her that she has really changed her outlook and habits. I don't know, it's a conflicted issue....obviously there are so many safety concerns with any procedure like that, but there are also the health risks associated with being too overweight.

The reason the doctor agreed to it all at once was because of the father's health issues? That seems very unethical.

I always thought lipo was for less drastic changes. I guess I don't understand what's so difficult about eating veggies and exercising every day? Obviously she's capable of loosing weight without surgery since it says she's lost 20 lbs on her own since the lipo.
