I've met many a child who not only wants to go to Church or Bible Study, but motivates the parent to go as well.

That's really cool! My experience so far: My own kids are not so happy about going and I've been co-teaching a kindergarten class that is a tough crowd to please! One boy in particular even drew Dr. Evil from Austin Powers on his bag instead of Jonah or the whale. He refused to come up with a message for a bubble cartoon (to match with his paperplate face) sharing who God loves until I finally captured "God Loves Austin Powers". I wish I could inspire him somehow, but this is my first attempt at teaching and I wasn't even ready to do it since I thought I was assisting when I signed up - not co-teaching!

So what is that most parents don't want to see their children go to hell. I personally don't believe in that, but I'm going to play devil's advocate here (no pun intended), and point out that a lot of parents do.
