Unbelievable news. I had a lot of respect of Russert, despite how I feel about most of the rest of the network. A great journalist and great fan of politics. Again, unbelievable. Tough to watch Brokaw deliver the news, clearly on the verge of tears.

Very sad too that this comes right before Father's Day. According to that news report on MSNBC, he had just gotten back from a family vacation with his wife and son (who just graduated college). Condolences to his family.
