This type of crap should be illegal.

I don't even have words for this.

E-bay allowed the sale of WTC debris, but agreed to not allow sales of Live 8 tickets?

Right.

Right.
eBay pulled the auctions down but people initially put the stuff up there.

I saw this earlier today. Should people be focusing on profit or simply helping out their fellow human? I mean come on.

Whenever California has their infamous fires, hotel prices sky rocket too.
( a normaly priced $50 hotel will charge upwards of $200)

You give the human race far too much credit...we really need you in office now!

I'd second that, BVS.

Anywho, yeah, that is dumb. If I ran a hotel, I would just let people come in...forget the payment for now, they need a place to stay and collect themselves. Especially if it's a popular hotel that isn't exactly suffering in regards to business.

Some people will never help out their fellow humans as long as there is more $ to be made

What a sad commentary.. hopefully there will be stories coming out about good and generous people

This reminds me of after 9/11, when car rental services at airport tripled their rates for rental cars.
