I don't think she was showing much courage, I think what she did was dangerous. She was lucky the person didn't have a weapon. If I had my belongings tea leafed I wouldn't run after the person. Common sense would tell me to get on the phone to the police rather than put my life, or someone elses, in danger.
Does it bother you that folk here are going to split hairs?
Cleary she gauged the situation correctly, ascetained the kid didn't have a weapon , nor did she beat the kid senselessly.
She demonstrated that she is a sound, clear thinking person.
She said she "felt like killing him" was clearly not literal, as suggested by one poster, however any level headed person understands it was a figurative statement in nature.
Do you know how many times my wife has said she wanted to "stangle" me on a weekly basis?
I know if this was posted by a female here the thread would be ranked 6 stars, however some can't handle the message when viewing the messenger-your biased is clearly evident.
The most ironic thing is that for those women that oppose my view of this situation are usually the strongest proponents for women's rights, women' s equality and women serving in the military; so it would take great moral courage for those take an honest assesment of their own sense of integrity.
Do you have it in you?
