this really has nothing to do with this thread

( so you are keeping with our FYM standards )

I really have not seen any one in here call Obama the anti-Christ or even buying into that crap about Michele Obama, yelling "Whitey".

I'm not entirely sure what bringing up that "cunt" fiasco has to do with this thread either.

Regardless of whether McCain has admitted his divorce or not, why does it not infuriate the "family values" crowd more? Is it because they only use their "acute" powers of moral panic against perceived "liberals"?

I'm guessing it has to do with deep's post about when Mohammed was born. I wasn't aware of it before. If there's anything else you're thinking of, its escaped me.

Because conservatives are not against divorce.

McCain has admitted to having extramarital affairs.
I guess conservatives aren't against adultery either?

To me, the "family values" crowd are a colossal joke. It's no wonder that the phrase has mainly taken a connotation of Orwellian bigotry amongst leftists than any sense of genuine values.

i will amend.

so conservatives like John McCain, Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, etc., are fine with wild infidelity and no-fault divorce, yet not with gay marriage?

will people still buy this in 2008?

^They shouldn't, but they probably will. When religion gets seduced by power only hypocrisy and hurt are born out of it.

At this point, I could care less if gay people get married. We have some real problems to fix in this country, and gay marriage is about number 200 on my list.

The fact that it's even considered a "problem" is quite disturbing...
