Hello all! I just have to wonder why alot of conservatives are such hypocrites. They want the government to stay out of their lives, but when it comes to other peoples rights they dont mind gonvernment intervention, such as banning gay marriage or banning abortion.

That's the multi-trillion dollar question.

I just find it so sad. they dont protest war, they dont march to end hunger. But if the government wants to help the sick they get up and protest that.

Not a peep when 3 trillion dollars worth of wars were being kept out of the Federal Budget.

Im just sick of republican/democrat issues. how about we just focus on human issues. We should worry about helping our fellow man not helping our party.

Not sure we'll ever be capable truly achieving that goal. There may be an individual, or small group that from time to time gets our country or civilization to do good, but too often we're distracted by greed or other self interests.

You have to ask yourself: "What Would Jesus Do?" to understand their mindset. If that doesn't give you the answer you want to hear, you get angry and talk about how you don't want to give your hard earned money to lazy people.

It was nice to see Searchlight get some national coverage today. I was looking at it on youtube because I juts cannot listen to that Palin woman talk for any amount of time. It was also amusing to see all the Medicare participants complaining about government health care.

I agree.

The stats on the front page of the paper this morning made me laugh:

SEARCHLIGHT BY THE NUMBERS

5,000 to 10,000 Expected crowd

More than two dozen international news media outlets expected

38 Portable toilets

21 Motel rooms in Searchlight

Roughly 800 Population of Searchlight

More than 10,000 Hotel rooms in nearby Laughlin

Indeed. Although I would say that Laughlin's more capable of handling the crowds.

I wonder if these clowns cleaned up after themselves, or did they let the Socialist county workers handle that? I'll be there next weekend; they better not have fucked up my desert.
