In keeping with Diamond's thread, you need to list pretty much every American though. Hollywood is detested for what it represents. I dont necessarily agree with this intense dislike in terms of the aforementioned point about the fundamentalists hating what it espouses, and that is because America is so much more than Hollywood. It is every single person and every aspect of many more things than just Hollywood that make America. After all, India's Bollywood doesn't get the same deal that Hollywood does.

One thing I'd like to contest is something in the original posting. Saddam is not a fundamentalist. He is a secular western style military dictator. Which is one reason why there's that tape that is supposed to be Bin Ladin saying he wan't Saddam dead. If saddam is a fnatic he is a fantic westerner. A brutal, militaristic, paranoid dictator but not a man of the same sort as Bin Ladin. Saddam objects to the US sticking their nose in his business and to appeal to his people he shoots down Western decadence. "It's not my fault your poor it's those fat Americans who are keeping you destitute." Just thought I'd bring that up.
