I did not clarify - which I have in other threads.

I was referring to the "culture of death" crowd, not the everyday Iraqi civilian. It probably does not number in the millions, but in the thousands.

I do concede, there is little we can do for the civilians at this point.

Partitioning would be very problematic. The Turks are opposed to this as it would create a separate Kurdistan, something they really oppose.

That's a very good point about Saddam's government being basically secular. It was; women had equal rights. Under a theocratic state, which is what Iraq is turning into, they're not going to have any rights because Iraq will have Shari'ah law.
