The CSI affect

Police are blaming police shows for making criminals smarter in covering there tracks.

http://www.nbc5.com/entertainment/66...=entertainment

This could lead to a serious problem.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I watched CSI for the first time.

I have to disagree...I would think that is would discourage the criminals. If I where a criminal I would be afraid the technology is to advance and I would not be able to get away with it. No matter how I covered my tracks.

I can see the point in those 2 arguments. On one hand, people would be smarter in not leaving evidence behind. The thing is, people will always be stupid and leaving something behind will always happen.

On the other hand, it's scary how much those CSI folks can do, so knowing what they can do may deter people from doin' the crime.

It's all so controversial, lol.

I kind of just want to say.....

"welll what did you expect?"

It's like having an increase in bombings after showing how do make a homemade bomb on national TV.
