I just finished my first C.S. Lewis book, Mere Christianity. I had to read that one twice just to take it all in. I'll take your recommendation and read this one next.

Damnit, all I've read of his so far is the Screwtape Letters. Great book.

I really need to check these out in the near future.

C. S. Lewis is easily one of the most brilliant writers to ever live, and along with G. K. Chesterton, arguably one of the two greatest writers of the twentieth century.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

I just finished Orthodoxy. Chesterton is so smart, it makes my head hurt. I often am reading for 10 or so pages thinking "where in the hell is he going with this"- then he makes a grand point and I feel very dumb.
