terror alert level:presidential approval

an interesting compilation assuming this is all verifiable info. the extensive inclusion of polling data lends it credence while making it somewhat overwhelming.

it would appear that the orange alerts do have an effect on the presidential approval numbers. additionally, the alert level has been changed following a downturn in presidential approval on a few occassions.

also interesting to see the approval numbers broken down by media outlet. fox news and gallup routinely have the president higher while the american research group routinely has him below the median.

Will Bush magically pull Bin Laden out of a cave just in time for the election? I wouldn't put it past him.

With the conspiracy theorists going full bore, it seems as if the military should sit on Bin Laden until after the election so we don't have to hear it from the "I told you so" crowd.
