Ok, so if i can go back in time and meet Hitler, I'll just hand him a nice plate full of cookies and a bouquet of roses and tell him they are from you...

Who do we aim at??????

For this is not a "country", but a very dangerous idealogy.

We all seem to have the answers here, now don't we?

Bin Laden "knows" we are all blood-thirsty Devils, thats why he wants us all dead... Are you trying to prove him right?

All I'm saying is that when we find the ones responsible for this attack, they have to be sent home - to hell. I never said we should carpet bomb any one country, though many people are leaning that way...

And as i stated in the main forum, the military is not all about killing. The VAST majority of people in the military have never killed, and WILL never kill ANYONE.

I'm so damn sick of uneducated idiots (and i DONT mean you,or anyone here, really, i'm talking about people that i run into in day to day life) thinking that that is all the military does. The US military and our allies have actually SAVED more innocent lives than they have taken, and they are active in the community doing all sorts of positive things.

Not that i dont hate the evil that they *have* done - i DO. And i am pretty upset with them right now, actually. But i blame the "suits" , not the majority of the enlisted and the officers.

Oddly enough, the people i have met that are in tend to be calmer, more pleasant, and LESS violent than many civilians i have met who claim to be "non-violent" and "peaceful".
Take a relative of mine for example. he is a liberal, gay, athiest, Democrat that also hates the military and claims to be a pacifist.
Oh, but he is also a racist, sexist, hitler-sympathetic bastard that attacked my mom and I not that long ago. Beat her up all throughout her childhood too.

Thats not exactly the stereotype you see portrayed in the media,is it...

That said, I am generally very much against violence, but my experience in life has made me realize that yes, unfortunately, it IS, *at times*, a necessary evil.
Without divine intervention, there will never be world peace. Too many human beings are simply too evil and too stupid. Nothing except God can ever change that entirely.

A lot of these sentiments are wrong IMHO, I will never support any military intervention, evil does not need to be fought with evil,.........Terrorism needs to be erradicated however I believe that it does not need to be solved by more killing, and the sentiments of 'Kill the fuckers' scare me as I know that they are felt by many others, please try and be calm and rational..........

How then, do you think terrorism could be eradicated? And what should be done to the individuals that did this? Please dont say jail...

An interesting Ronald Reagan quote indeed...

Aside from this, it is fine for those who do want to join the military. However, not everyone is fit for the military, either physically or emotionally, and we should respect those who support the military in thoughts only. It would be a sad, sad world if we lived like the ancient people of Sparta or the ancient empire of the Assyrians, where every male was required to be a soldier...

Terrorism will always exist.
So you go "kill the fuckers", then what do you do with the thousands more waiting in their wings to take up where they left off?

Bin Laden is a millionaire and his followers are being led by religion. THAT is the scary thing.
This is not a fight between countries. These men do not represent a country in the Middle East.
I'd like to know how exactly one is supposed to eradicate terrorism.

These guys are ruthless killers and right NOW there is alot of them, but the idea is to wipe them off the face of this earth. They are trained at Al Queda (aka Terror Central)in Afghanistan and in Pakistan and also some other countries too, basically there is no changing these guys, they will kill since that is all most of them know how to do and prefer to do it for there living. So you kill them, i don't think they mind, then work on peace with the next generation and slowly over the next 10 years along with eradicating these guys the States can hopefully start to withdraw as much as possible thru out the world and worry about domestic affairs and a few of their allies.

The days of selling weapons to a country then going to war with the very same country 10 years later is just getting so old that even my 12 year old nephew knows the scams the States have pulled on so many third world countries. Yes America has helped countless countries thru out the world but they also have bombed the shit out of countless countries, it's as simple as that they have to change their foreign policy over the next 10 years and worry about home.

Who I feel sorry for in this war are the Afghan people, you are talking about a dirt poor country with people living in some of the worst pathetic conditions in the world (i'm indian who lived in India and my place looked like Disney Land compared to Afghanistan) and these people have nothing to do with the shit these other bastards Bin Laden, Al Queda, Taleban have done to their country. I just hope not many of them get killed and I hope the Americans feel some of the same sorrow for the Afghan people as they do for their own.

I hear so many people saying 'the Afghan people' should uprise but you gotta understand that Bin Ladens group Al Queda is the most ruthless terrorists, mass murderers on the face of the earth. Just imagine having in your city thousands of the worst mass murders in the world, their eating your starving, what would you do ? The borders from Iran and Pakistan have already been shut the Afghan people are fenced in the slaughterhouse. Lets just hope and pray that America and NATO doesn't do carpet bombing over Kabul like they did over Baghdad.
