1. Opening Credits:
The Spiderbite Song, Flaming Lips
That'll do...

2. Waking Up:
Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein Khayal Aata, Lata Mangeshkar & Mukesh
Appropriate if you're a 'morning type'

3. First Day At School:
That's No Way To Get Along, Robert Wilkins

4.Falling In Love:
Street Spirit, Radiohead

5.Fight Song:
Add It Up, Violent Femmes
Erm, well the mood is right...

6.Breaking up:
The Old Main Drag, Pogues
...ditto...

7. Prom:
Beginning of a Great Adventure, Lou Reed
(yeah, I wish!)

8. Life:
Queen Bitch, Bowie

9. Mental Breakdown:
Stay, U2
Not bad...

10. Driving:
I'll Take You There, Staple Singers

11. Flashback:
I Will Dare, The Replacements
Appropriate enough...

12. Getting back together:
Master-Dik, Sonic Youth

13. Losing your virginity:
De Cara a la Pered, Lhasa
(not really appropriate, but her voice plus my lack of Spanish makes most anything of hers )

14. Wedding:
Crossroads, Tom Waits
About his least romantic ever, natch.

15. Birth of Child :
She's No Lady, Lyle Lovett

16. Final Battle:
Tov L'Hodot, Golden Gate Jewish Singers
Good enough; it's one of those Hasidic mystical chants with wordless 'ai-yai-yuh' type vocalizations.

17. Funeral Song:
Don't Think Twice, It's All Right, Dylan

18. End Credits:
So What'cha Want, Beastie Boys
OK, time to clear that one off maybe.

Sheep Go To Heaven, Cake
It could work well

2. Waking Up:
Lalena, Donovan
Again slow start - work with shot of waking up with profound sense of longing

3. First Day At School:
You Never Know, Goo Goo Dolls
Seems out of place

4.Falling In Love:
So Long Marianne, Leonard Cohen
Maria in Greece - that works really well

5.Fight Song:
I'm So Free, Lou Reed
A fight scene with pool cues

6.Breaking up:
Call Me On Your Way Back Home, Ryan Adams
Arguably the best fit

And I just wanna die without you

Yeah I just wanna die without you
Without you Honey I ain’t nothing new

Babe, You Turn Me On, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
A good fit

9. Mental Breakdown:
Rock and Roll Suicide, David Bowie
Can work

10. Driving:
Life on Mars, David Bowie
Didn't they already use it in Life Aquatic

11. Flashback:
Hallelujah, Ryan Adams
I wanted the Cohen Live version - which is of course an entirely different song

12. Getting back together:
Gimme Shelter, The Rolling Stones
It works, it works really well

13. Losing your virginity:
Prep for Flight, Serenity Soundtrack (that is awesome )
Strap in and feel the G's

14. Wedding:
Let Love In, Goo Goo Dolls
Somewhat fitting

15. Birth of Child
Carry Me, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Well thats just crazy

16. Final Battle:
Wonderwall, Oasis
I would have preferred Immigrant Song

17. Funeral Song:
The Bed, Lou Reed
A death song

18. End Credits:
Mellow Yellow, Donovan
I was banking on Box of Rain

Overall I would open the film waking up when I was 20 and at some stage (when I got a job) have Elvis Costello with Welcome to the Working Week oh and for a longing song - I Want You.

If I had to go to a Bon Jovi concert, I'd have tears running down my face too.
