Castro angry over Forbes listing

Cuban President Fidel Castro has criticized Forbes magazine for the "infamy" of listing him among the world's richest people, with a net worth of $550 million.

"Once again, they have committed the infamy of speaking about Castro's fortune, placing me almost above the queen of England," Castro said in a speech to top officials of Cuba's ruling Communist Party, military and police.

I wonder what the workers of Cuba would think of this.....

This is really why I was never a fan of communism, really. Capitalism and communism are mostly a matter of who the hegemony is.

On the other hand, I think Cubans are better off with a U.S. embargo. Guaranteed: once it is lifted, American corporations that lost their land will demand it again and it will likely turn into another bastion of cheap, exploitable labor.

I really don't know what is preferable anymore. It's like choosing between two, equally unappealing evils.
