I lived in Boston for a year as a second-grader. Yeah, some of this stuff looks vaguely familiar. I got a huge buzz from the 2004 World Series, for one thing. My parents went to Fenway Park alot that year.

Wow, you must be bored, Dread...j/k :D

Well unsurprisingly, I can only answer "no" to most of these. What are "snows" (#47)? Also, I didn't realize Aerosmith were from there...the only rock group I readily associate with Boston are The Cahz, and that's a pretty dated reference I'm afraid.

#18 would strike a chord with most folks out here in the Great Lakes-area Midwest, I'd think--I was really surprised by the prevalence of Slavic-sounding last names when I moved out here, and have since become reasonably proficient at getting last names ending with -wicz, -czewski, -ysz and so forth right the first time around. Of course teachers everywhere enjoy swapping stories involving students with formidably unpronounceable or, even better, cringe-inducingly unfortunate last names. :mac:

And for any other Americans feeling left out here, maybe try giving this page a look.

:hmm: Anyone else remember that old SNL skit where they mocked Chicago accents?

Revere scares me

I had to scare up the Rhode Islandite of the house to read this. She was a "yes" for the majority of the answers.

Even a kid that grew up 15 miles from Yankee Stadium can relate to a few of these (I haven't thought about Bradlees or Caldor in years)!

Yep, we're just as good with the Polish or Slavic ones as we are with the Dutch names!

I love how #4 is on there when both of those places are in New Hampshire.

And even though I live in NH, I'm a yes for most of those. After all, southern NH is basically an extension of MA now.

Really? I lived down there for a couple of years at Nichols College in Dudley and worked in Auburn.

There's, uh, not too much to see in Dudley, and Webster ain't exactly beautiful. What in the world could you be doing there?

I beg to differ - central Mass is God's Country.

and I miss it

I only scored 44/101 on this quiz. I guess going to school in Boston for 10 years only gets you so far. Sigh.

I can't say much about Webster, I may have driven through there a couple times. Worcester is good stuff though. The city gets a bad rap, but it's a great place.
