It has always bothered me that our first inkling of the road to the war with Iraq happened a year and a day after September 11.

On one hand, it seems so planned, like going to Iraq was an agenda - let's schedule the progress.

On the other hand, perhaps the subject wasn't raised until after September 11 to honor the one year anniversary.

Why September 12, 2002?

Any major diplomatic mission such as attracting a coalition to go to war takes time, it is a profound pity that time was wasted in the United Nations. It seems that that route was a bit of second guessing or obligitary politiking that gave the regime the time to remove and stash the weapons. Bush waited, people died!
