womanfish, I'm tired of big time stuff like this getting swept under the rug, too. There hasn't been a word about this in any of the local newspapers. People should be screaming bloody murder over waste like this.

I couldn't agree more. Congress is also trying to make the Admin. and Pentagon show where the 87B is being spent, being acountable for the money, amd is getting fought tooth and nail. Why? What don't they want us to know about OUR money? or do theywant to filter it into other "terrorist" fights?

It makes me sick that they wouldn't fully fund the AIDS package, but can't account for 1.5 B.

ABC new just confirmed tonight that the Congressional Budget Office has NO FIGURES that show that, 1.5 Billion of the 4 Billion dollars that are being sent to situation in Iraq per month, are unaccounted for. An interesting work of fiction by Teddy Kennedy.

I think Teddy has the money....he was using it to buy food to fill his Jabba the Hut sized appetite.

Imagine that. Checking the facts. What a novel idea.

Dread, I understand you wanted to keep Kennedy out of this, but I didn't believe the about bribes. Although I'm not a Bush supporter this accusation was too much. After all the accusation was insulting to other leaders.

Actually, I think all the money for the Big Dig here in Boston went into his stomach. I am sure, none of the money for terrorism iraq or anything international was used to suppliment his huge diet.

I agree

No comment on those pics

There is no question in my mind though that he has done great work as a Senator. I think he spoke in anger and frustration before thinking it through, something we all do sometimes.

Guess GW won't be inviting him over to watch movies again anytime soon

I think he's done some great work as a Senator also. This comment wasn't part of that. It's no good to accuse other leaders of taking bribes. Still, yes, everyone makes mistakes.

You shouldn't accuse someone of something if you can't proof it.

Anyway, it would be verry interesting and important to find out where the money runs to.

Should I interpret that as a 'I don't know'? I mean, they have no figures that show that 1.5 billion is missing. In addition, do they have the figures that 1.5 billion isn't missing? Where is it then?
