I literally cannot believe the depths that intelligent design advocates will go into trying to taint science with religion.

As someone who is both religious and a strong defender of scientific integrity, I don't understand why ID advocates insist on forcing non-scientific hypotheses into science.

Every errant political movement has its descent into madness before traveling into oblivion. I believe, thus, that this is right-wing Christianity's last stand. The good news is that it has given scientists and reasonable people of faith an opportunity to have a backbone and stand up for themselves. "Freedom of religion" does not mean a freedom to devalue academia and education, and, by extension, absolute truth.

Both Bill and Ben completely miss the whole point. It really is sad, because I do think they are rather intelligent people, well at least one of them... And I am a believer and a very scientific person, but I'm smart enough to know, that you can't teach this as a SCIENCE!!!

Come on Ben, you are smarter than this.
