Hey BVS, right on! We keep agreeing with each other.

I was afraid of attributes like "silent and invisible" would be used.

I agree this is the best way to seek influence and promote one's perspective...but it does go both ways, and anyone who wants this from anyone else should be looking in the mirror regularly as well. (* Not aimed at you or any one person in particular.)

With coexistance there is no contrast, and if there is no contrast there is no free will.

Coexistance is the is a vehicle to realization like the following:

Quote:
You see, at the center of all religions is the idea of Karma. You know, what you put out comes back to you: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, or in physics—in physical laws—every action is met by an equal or an opposite one. It's clear to me that Karma is at the very heart of the universe. I'm absolutely sure of it. And yet, along comes this idea called Grace to upend all that "as you reap, so you will sow" stuff. Grace defies reason and logic. Love interrupts, if you like, the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I've done a lot of stupid stuff."

But don't discount karma altogether.

It will bite you in the ass.

Maybe the idea is that without grace, you are a destined to become a "victim" of karma, and the natural state of karma is a reflection of the human state, which tends to be biting others in the ass.

No. That may be what Bono means, but it's not what I meant at all.

Right - I guess you'll have to help me out. I think I'm mostly with Bono on this.

How's school been? My wife is in tears almost every night about her Jr. High changing to the middle school philosophy. She thinks its going to wreck her programs that she's worked so hard on.

Angela,

And although I was a bit shocked by your post at first, I've come to appreciate it a day later.

After years of following Christ, I too have had a horrible time finding a church or group of people I can relate to. I have plenty of friends that help support me, but when I walk into these buildings, I feel lost and almost scared. Something is not right.

For me, it is a beautiful thing to hang out with other believers, and there is something very special about corporate worship. But man, it's like I'm paranoid or something. Saccharine is the word, and I can't get past it.

I can only assume?

Quote:
As I go through life, fixing my mistakes one at a time, I’ve learned a thing or two about Karma, and part of keeping good Karma is sharing it with others. I hope these notions help you as much as they’ve helped me.
Do good things and good things will happen to you. Do bad things and it will come back and bite you in the ass.

If you want a better life, you need to be a better person.

Bad luck might be contagious. It wouldn’t be fair to bring someone into your life until you clean yours up.

Never underestimate the power of confidence. And never underestimate fifteen beers, a little enlightenment, and the power of Rob Base and DJ Easy Rock.

A person needs a little rest after having his moustache tickled at a gay bar.

You have to do the hard things in life sooner or later.

If you want the reward, you have to do the work.

The secret to life is fixing all the bad things that you’ve done.

Whether picking up trash, returning stolen merchandise, or helping a homosexual find love, it always has the same reward… feeling good about yourself.

Karma. You got to love it.
