Hey Sarah the shirt might have given it away anyway. I don't know how many of those you see on beaches in Hawaii, because unfortunately I've never been there.

In other news Tiger Woods took a black marker to all of these hats today in an attempt to remain incognito. And money might be getting tight these days..no money for different hats. And of course like you wouldn't recognize Sarah anyway you wouldn't recognize Tiger anyway.

If that's true and that's really why she said "can I call you Joe" I just think that's hilarious-that's all. But it ruins everything, I thought it was charming at the time

(CNN) – Former McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt is revealing new details on just how uneasy campaign aides felt about then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's prospects heading into her debate with rival Joe Biden.

In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper set to air on 60 Minutes Sunday on CBS, Schmidt said Palin's debate preparations were going so poorly that campaign aides feared the closely-watched debate could prove to be a "debacle of historic and epic proportions."

The interview is part of a preview of the upcoming book "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.

What was most troubling, according to Schmidt, was the fact Palin repeatedly confounded Biden's name during the preparation process, referring to the then-Delaware senator as Sen. O'Biden. Aides were so worried that such a mishap in the actual debate would prove catastrophic that they advised her to simply refer to her opponent as "Joe."

"It was multiple people – and I wasn't one of them – who all said at the same time, 'Just say, Can I call you Joe,' which she did," Schmidt tells Cooper.

A 5 minute scan of the debate transcript gave me 8 Senator Bidens and one Joe.

Quote:
Now, Barack Obama and Senator Biden also voted for the largest tax increases in U.S. history.

Senator Biden, you would remember that, in that energy plan that Obama voted for...

Barack Obama and Senator Biden, you've said no to everything in trying to find...

And Senator Biden, I respected you when you called him out on that...

...regarding Senator McCain's military policies there, Senator Biden,

I think that is a good thing to get to agree on, Senator Biden.

But I know, Senator Biden, you have respected for them that

Say it ain't so, Joe, there you go again pointing backwards again.

And I appreciate, too, Senator Biden, getting to meet you,
Either Steve Schmidt is full of BS and a vindictive prick and CNN is too lazy to do the 5 minutes of research I just did.

Or Sarah Palin is a quick study.

So MrsSpringsteen

Quick study-she probably just wore a visor the week before with the O in O'Biden crossed out with a black marker

I like that she tried to make Joe even more Irish than he is-or just shorten Joe to O. Either way I like it.

O'Bon-for example

It wasn't about how many times she actually said "Joe" or "Biden", it was that those closest to her were scared of her competance and that her "can I call you Joe" charm wasn't exactly natural.

"Can i call you Joe," was to set up the "say it isn't so Joe" joke later in the debate.

And on Hardball they played a clip of her in the debate actually saying O'Biden once.
YouTube - Palin/Obiden Debate - Senator Obiden or O'Biden?

And it it's not hard to see how it could happen "...Barack Obama and Senator O'Biden..." Obama, O'Biden. Of course they failed to mention the other, at least 7 times, she said "Senator Biden."

Big deal. Bush couldn't say nuclear and President Obama can't say Taliban (Tol-ee-bon).

Maybe in Afghanistan when speaking Dari. Does he pronounce the city of St. Louis as "sahng loo-ee"? It's ok to speak the American version of English.

But screw the Taliban anyway, he ought to purposely mispronounce their name.

Maybe Taliwads.
