You are right Brown EyedBoy.

Saddam's being punished and the soldiers should be punished too for the illegal humiliation. Something that matches the crime...

Still, wrong or not. Secretly there is a satisfaction to it. I guess in your world I am immoral and evil.

Did you read Bonochick's post?

Anyhow, I agree with digsy--if the creators of South Park are the sole source for this info, it probably should be taken with a hefty grain of salt.

What if they made humiliation his punishment? There have been judges in the US that have made drunk drivers walk around with sandwich boards signs saying "I'm a drunk driver" or something to that extent. Obviously I'm not saying let him walk around with a sandwich board, but what if he was forced to watch movies like this and listen to horrible music? Persoanlly, I think this type of humiliation is perfectly acceptable if someone's found guilty.

U2 should be punished for the humiliating video clip of George Bush Senior singing WE WILL ROCK you and the You Tube video clip of George Bush Jr. Singing Sunday Bloody Sunday

Why does everyone keep calling South Park juvenile?

Regardless of this incident, South Park is not juvenile. As a matter of fact, it shouldn't even be watched by juveniles. But it's a brilliant show.

As for Saddam...really, I don't care one way or the other.

Basically, who gave you the right to humilliate someone? Because no matter who you are and who is on the receiving end you have no right to decide how to humilliate someone. Who gave these soldiers the right to humilliate the man? Who decides this?

this is a good point.

once we say, "well, it's okay to torture for some things" the quesiton becomes a matter of degree.

and then the sadists take over. like in the Strasi. like in the KGB.

As good as feeding Islamic Terrorists pork sandwiches and making them watch porno. But then Saddam is in a different class of prisoner so the legal distinction is there.

He's in prison but they can't put a movie on for him to watch? What, did they stick his head in a vice and pry his eyes open so he couldn't look away?

I pray the media doesn't make a fuss about this, as it's completely unimportant.

But it is funny.

i think they put him in a jacket and held his eyelids open A Clockwork Orange style.
