When electorates vote for pro-Western interests - it's 'spreading freedom' (GOOD democracy - let's pat it on the head and whisper encouraging words in its ear)

When they don't - it's 'divide and conquer' (BAD democracy - let's slap it on the wrist.)

Why can't the U.S. have a "color revolution" of its own?

We need some sort of revolution, that's for sure.

I was talking about the split between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko - it has nothing to do with treating one result as any more democratic than another. That is the reason that the pro-Russian elements have come out better this time, because the pro-Western vote has been split.

Hence - divide and conquer.

I'm disappointed that the pro-Western alliance split. The election showed that the pro-Western alliance was really what the Ukrainian people wanted. Now they're getting something they don't want.
