Plans for Easter Weekend?

I know it's about 2 weeks away, but what are you other posters plans for Easter weekend?
As for me, the weekend will go as the usual routine.
Friday: Working during the day & attend Good Friday Service at 7PM

Saturday: Working during the day & preparing for Sunday's festivities

Sunday: Get up to attend the Son-rise service at 6AM.

Anough about me, what are your plans for the holiday weekend?

Go home after classes on Friday, go to church at 11 on Sunday...probably go somewhere for a nice lunch with my parents, then come back to school that afternoon.

Illumination70, any particular reason why you posted this to FYM instead of LS?

If your intent is to start a discussion about religious observance/significance of Easter, that's fine, but if you're just asking in general what folks plan to do for Easter regardless of religion, then that's really more of an LS topic. Not a problem, I just want to make sure this thread is placed appropriately for the type of discussion you're looking to have.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for a week-long vacation in Alabama, so we'll probably be driving back on Easter Sunday. For Palm Sunday we usually try one of the rowdier local Baptist churches down there, just for a new experience.

Six more work days till spring break for me.

Looking forward to some R&R.

We plan to just stay home, plant the vegetable
garden on Good Friday, and have a big Sunday dinner
with family and friends.

Well since Passover is pretty much overlapping with the beginning of the Easter weekend, this is wonderful for me because we honour both Jewish and Christian holidays where I work so I'll be off Thursday, Friday and Monday as well.

flying up to CT thursday night. will spend friday with the parents, sitting around the house and reading, perhaps going out to the superlative japanese restaurant in town.

saturday i'll drive up to Boston to visit my adored grandmother in the nursing home, and i'm hoping she'll still know who i am before she slips further into dimentia. perhaps that night i'll hang out with a friend or two who are still in the area.

sunday, wake up late, have brunch with the family, and then catch the late afternoon flight back to DC where the BF will be kind enough to pick me up and drop me back at my place and i'll reward him for his efforts in a manner that would make Dread jealous ...

Friday afternoon - jumping on a plane here in Sydney
Friday morning - arriving in Los Angeles

Got to love that time difference. Leave here at 3pm, arrive there at 10am local time the same day (which will be about 4am in my head). Spending the weekend in LA, then over to New York for a week, then off to London and Paris for a couple more weeks.

Pretty much the same thing I do every day.

That's one of the very few drawbacks of being non-religious and self (or un-) employed -- holidays aren't really any different..

I always go to the Easter Vigil Mass, I love that

Other than that just try to have a little bit of peace and reflect on what Easter is about and what it can mean for me. This year I really haven't done that and it would probably help me deal with some issues.

I'll attend a Good Friday service and then go to Holy Saturday Mass at my church. I usually don't do that much on the actual day of Easter except just take it easy and spend time with my family.
