Today the new head of the terror organization known as Hamas, Abdel-Aziz-zl-Rantissi, stated that America was no longer a target of their illegal killings, but only all the Israelis, especially the democratically elected Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Boy does that make me feel a whole lot better.

Phhhewww.

The fact that the leader of a group of psychotic murderers is being interviewed by the media on the same level as a government offical gives me no hope for this world.

Thoughts of Charles Manson being interviewed by Bill O'Reilly come to mind.

I only wonder (not desire) what would happen if Israel agreed to an all out holy war as their enemies desire.

I cannot defend the killing of the former Hamas leader, though I cannot also defend his right to live.

A quandry, I suppose.

I guess some view Hamas as a group of misunderstood freedom fighters....

That's how Hamas wants itself viewed, actually. Al-Qaeda and them, apparently, do not get along, and the group has purposely avoiding targeting anyone but Israel on purpose. They garner a surprising amount of respect in the Arab world, even amongst our Middle East allies.

I'm not defending Hamas; I'm merely trying to restate their supposed logic.
